Better system availability and reduced costs thanks to new refrigerant sensors
Coolants for refrigeration and air-conditioning systems are not only expensive, their high global warming potential (GWP) often also has a significant effect on the environment. Refrigeration and air-conditioning systems must therefore be constantly monitored for leaks. smartGAS is now launching four new refrigerant sensors from the BASIC EVO series that not only measure very accurately but also reduce operating costs for system operators.
All new refrigerant sensors are based on the BASIC EVO series from smartGAS, which features low detection limits, low drift, fast response time and a wide temperature range. For the measurement of the new low GWP refrigerants R452A (OpteonTM XP44) and R455a (SOLSTICE® L40X) smartGAS has developed a sensor as well as for R32. The refrigerants will replace the very climate-damaging refrigerants R404A/R507A and R410A.
Also new are smartGAS sensors for refrigerant gas detectors to detect the refrigerant R23 (trifluoromethane). Despite its high global warming potential, R23 is still used as a cryogenic refrigerant, for example in cascade refrigeration systems. The new refrigerant sensors are ideally suited for use in stationary refrigerant monitoring.
The new BASIC EVO sensors are available as sensors specifically calibrated to the refrigerant (maximum precision) and as broadband sensors that can be used to reliably measure a wide range of refrigerants.
