EOC Gives Back

Electro Optical Components Victor Yen Memorial Technical Scholarships

Victor Yen, if he were alive today, would be honored by these winners. He, too, was an excellent student who received a BS degree from the University of Redlands and an MS in Aeronautical Engineering from California Institute of Technology. He taught Engineering at Tri-State College in Indiana and later worked in industry at Ford Motor Company, OCLI, Optoelectronics and Cal Sensors before founding Electro Optical Components in 1997. He was a pioneer in the Infrared Filter and Detector industry.

Over the 8 year history of the 106 times outstanding students from Sonoma State University and Santa Rosa Junior College have received these scholarships it is because they have excelled academically in technology studies and philanthropically in the community.
