Like the human skin, the gSKIN® Heat Flux Sensor is able to measure three different types of heat transfers, namely conduction, convection, and radiation.

Measure heat flux through materials to quantify the heat output of chemical reactions or to measure energy efficiency in buildings.
The gSKIN® measures heat fluxes through liquids and gases for non-invasive flow measurement or fluid detection.
Measure heat fluxes through electromagnetic waves – the gSKIN® is the ideal sensor for solar radiation, infrared and laser power.

The gSKIN® Heat Flux Sensor generates an output voltage which is proportional to the local heat flux. In order to calculate the heat flux, the output voltage must be divided by the sensor sensitivity.
